For both drop-off and pick-up, families will use the front entrance (yellow arrow). Students will be dropped off and picked up in the gym.

For our AM Preschool families, doors will open at 11:40 a.m. for pick-up. This allows our teachers to have their full lunch break and dedicated planning time between sessions. We appreciate your help in arriving at the designated pick-up time so our staff can maintain this important time to prepare for the afternoon.

Our district will continue with our adopted Standard Response Protocol (SRP). Students and staff will continuing learning and practicing the protocol. 

The Standard Response Protocol (SRP) is based on an all-hazards approach as opposed to individual scenarios. Like the Incident Command System (ICS), SRP utilizes clear common language while allowing for flexibility in protocol. The premise is simple - there are five specific actions that can be performed during an incident. When communicating these, the action is labeled with a “Term of Art” and is then followed by a “Directive.” Execution of the action is performed by active participants, including students, staff, teachers and first responders. The SRP is based on the following actions: Hold, Secure, Lockdown, Evacuate, and Shelter.

Infants and young children need 10 to 12 hours of sleep daily in order to support healthy development. Parents also need to feel rested in order to be nurturing and responsive to their growing and active young children. When your child does not get enough sleep, challenging behaviors are likely to occur. Your child might be moody, short tempered and unable to engage well in interactions with others. Lack of sleep can also have a negative impact on your child’s ability to learn. When a young child sleeps, her body is busy developing new brain cells that she needs for her physical, mental and emotional development. Babies and young children thrive on predictability and learn from repetition. It is important to establish a bedtime routine that you and your child both understand and helps everyone to feel calm and relaxed.
