Principal's Message

Welcome to Mountain View Learning Center, where every child is celebrated, every family is valued, and every day is filled with opportunities to learn, grow, and belong. Our preschool is dedicated to providing high-quality early learning experiences that nurture the whole child. Through play-based learning, meaningful relationships, and developmentally appropriate instruction, we help children build the academic, social, emotional, and communication skills that lay the foundation for lifelong success. Mountain View is proud to serve a diverse community of learners through preschool classrooms, specialized services, and strong partnerships with families and community organizations. We believe that families are a child's first and most important teachers, and we are committed to working together to support each child's unique strengths and needs. In addition to our preschool programs, Mountain View is home to the Ferndale School District Family Resource Center. The Family Resource Center serves families across our district by connecting them with essential resources, services, and family engagement opportunities. Our goal is to help remove barriers so every child can come to school ready to learn and every family feels supported and connected. Mountain View also houses the Ferndale Family Partnership, our district's Alternative Learning Experience (ALE) program serving students in kindergarten through eighth grade. The Ferndale Family Partnership provides a flexible, family-centered educational option that partners closely with parents and caregivers to create personalized learning plans. Through individualized instruction, regular teacher support, and meaningful family collaboration, the program empowers students to thrive academically while meeting their unique learning needs. Our caring and dedicated staff create welcoming classrooms where children are encouraged to explore, ask questions, solve problems, and develop confidence as learners. Whether students are just beginning their educational journey in preschool or are learning through the Ferndale Family Partnership, our team is committed to ensuring every student experiences belonging, growth, and success.
